Starscream becomes ruler of Cybertron through democratic election. Why was he even a candidate? Suffice to say it was Megatron's fault. Starscream won mostly because he had murdered Metalhawk, and then claimed Metalhawk was a hero and martyr who had perished fighting Megatron. Of course, murderingthe fact that Metalhawk had been the favored candidate [[Sarcasm Mode| probably helped him a little too.]] Downplayed, however, {{spoiler| because this is one of the few stories where Starscream makes a genuine [[Heel Face Turn]], even cementing it with a [[Heroic Sacrifice]] at the end.}}
