** People have, in fact, said that it would be the [[EndoftheThe End of the World Asas We Know It]]. This is not an 'if X character meets Y character, their shared awesomeness will cause the universe to explode' jokingly theorized in the spirit of fun, this is the actual apocalypse we're talking about here.
* Actually Alex Mercer is causing himself to get nightmare fuel. Every time he absorbs some one he can remember everything from there lives,including when they were screaming when he killed them. So he has to suffer through all of their violent and painful memories. Think about that the next time you consume someone in the game.
