Even if I ''did'' figure out that Alex was only ''specifically'' after the Infected and the people crazy enough to open fire on him, I don't think I could see him as anything other than just another monster. If he grabbed me out of the way of a tank, or struck up a conversation with me, and ''then'' went off and starting killing Infected, then maybe I wouldn't be so concerned about him personally.
