During the events of Rance Quest Magnum, Free Cities Alliance's merchant and unofficial leader Copandon Dott helped Rance to built a large castle all for himself, out of love for him. Its capacity can be up to 256 people, with ten living rooms for daily activities and meal. Furthermore, maids are available to the owner's needs. By the time of Rance X, several people settled down in Rance Castle, some choosing to live with him, or in search of protection, or simply working for him.

Athena 2.0
An artificial human created by the Witch FrostvineFrostbyne in Rance IV. She's actually the second version, following Athena 1.0, whose intelligence was similar to a real human's. However, she fell in love with a Ham Barbara and both eloped soon after.

2.0 was designed to be less intelligent but still able to act as a useful familiar and toy for children. She was finally created with Rance's help, however his Imperial Juice got mixed into the creation, altering the process: Athena 2.0 was born with a very low intelligence, but a wide range of abilities, including combat. Despite this, Rance decided to keep her as a pet, and eventually she was allowed to live in his house, and later Rance Castle.

Tropes exhibited by Athena 2.0 include:
*Angry Guard Dog: Before the building of Rance Castle, she was assigned to guard Rance's house in Ice, not unlike a guard dog who loudly reacts to intruders.
*Artificial Human: She's a homonculus created by FrostvineFrostbyne, and the second version of the Athena series. She also has a similar hairstyle to her creator.
*Attention Deficit Ooh Shiny: Because of her low intelligence she easily gets distracted by everything, especially ladybugs and beetles. As seen in Rance 5D, it can also prevent her from attacking at all.
*Cloudcuckoolander: Lives in her own little world, to the dismay of everyone around her.
*Curtains Match the Window: Orange hair for orange eyes.
*The Ditz: She is by far the most simple-minded character of the series, with several similarities to a dog.
*Genius Ditz: Despite her general level of intelligence, she's able to able to draw detailed maps from memory and can perform basic math with great precision. She also has very good eyesight and a heightened sense of smell compared to humans.
*Living Toy: The Athena Series of artificial lifeforms were conceived as toys for children, and as such are not considered "human". As seen in Rance Quest Magnum, Rance can have sex with her despite being inflicted by the Morurun Curse, being considered a sex toy unable to bear children.
*Mix-and-Match Man: She was created from the combination of the essences of an Angel and a Devil, plus some Imperial Juice from Rance, which caused her to have a very low intelligence.
*Not Allowed to Grow Up: Due to her status as an Artificial Human, she cannot grow up and is stuck in an adult body.
*Odd Friendship: She ends up befriending Tourin Sanada, the most skilled strategist of Nippon, of all people.
*Organic Technology: She's very similar to an automaton, but entirely created out of biological materials.
*Taught By Experience: While she cannot level up at all, she's able to grow stronger by observing other humans in Rance Quest Magnum.
*Unskilled but Strong: Has a hilariously low Level Cap of 1, but she's stronger than the average human, meaning she doesn't need to train but at the same time, she can't get stronger at all.
*Younger Than She Looks: Since she was created in Rance IV, she's technically 5 by Rance X.

Sanakia Drelshkaf
Sanakia was a knight from for now-destroyed Kingdom of Dallas, roughly 200 years ago. She went on an expedition in the floating island of Ylapu, but was captured and kept in stasis until the events of Rance IV. After being rescued by Rance, she joined the Ice Flame group in Rance VI and eventually became one of his adventuring companions. While she first hated Rance due to his perverted and brutish attitude, she eventually softens up, acknowledging his qualities as a warrior after witnessing him saving the country of Zeth. By the time of Rance Quest, she has become the Captain of the Rance Castle Guard.

Despite her average Level Cap of 22, she trains hard to better herself, and shows some good abilities of a Tactician, along with being one of the rare people to have Rance teach her his Signature Move Rance Attack.
