This trope often overlaps with [[And Man Grew Proud]] and is used as [[An Aesop]]. The [[Shadowland]] of [[Arcadia]] and the [[Ghibli Hills]]; many a [[Farm Boy]] who went expecting the Shining City was lucky to escape with his life, if at all.
