Flight Lieutenant Junko Takei is originally from Fuso Imperial Navy and now is the commander of 504th JFW. She is an old friend of Sakamoto and fought alongside when they were stationed in Libau together. Takei, Sakamoto, and Yoshiko Nishizawa were called "Three crows of Libau" for their outstanding performance in Libau. Her special ability allows her to raise her comrades' morale. She also is the protagonist of Nintendo DS game and one of the main characters in Maidens of the Heavens. In anime, she appears as the commander of 504th JFW in episode 1, 3, and 12 of season 2.

Line 345 ⟶ 346:
* A Nazi By Any Other Name Yes the series has characters who are based on WWII Germans, but the nation of Germany in their world is known as Karlsland and is still a monarchy. Meanwhile, the Neuroi take on representing the Nazis in the sense that THEY are the enemy to the rest of the world that's out to exterminate people.
* Attack Its Weak Point Every single Neuroi has a core. If the core is destroyed so is the main body and all drones created by the neuroi.
* Cute Monster Girl The Neuroi Girls near the end of season 1 and the beginning of Season 2 are really attractive to some people. Too bad the two that show up, get blasted unceremoniously with with extreme prejudice.
* Master Race Their mission seems to be to wipe out the human race and conquer Earth. Why? Unknown. However, one thing is for sure: They aren't much interested in a peaceful co-existence, since
* Those Wacky Nazis For the most part, the Neuroi seem like mostly mindless alien monsters, which isn't true since they are treated mostly as a serious threat and have systematically conquered much of the world by the time of the story. However, this particular trope applies to season 2, episode 7. In said episode, a tiny lady-bug like Neuroi infiltrates the base and starts cutting the power to all the base's electric systems to power up its giant secondary body... While at the same time the tiny one is seen "attacking" each witch one by one by sneaking into their panties and crawling upon their butts. Why? We neeeeeeeeeeever know. But it sure is funny.
