With the Titans scattered all over the world, [[City of Adventure|Jump City]] is left without heroes. At the request of the main team, [[West Coast Team|Titans East]] goes to the city and encounters [[Control Freak]] seeking the "real" Titans. Disappointed with what he considers to be the poor man's substitute, he sets up a series of tests for them.
