'''''[http://descended.thecomicseries.com The Descended]''''' is a web comic run by Brian D. Lewis, also known as Ranger_Brian_New (on the forums), hosted on [[Comic Fury]]. It is one of his most ambitious projects, where he decided to create a whole world with very complicated rules. As mentioned in the profile, it follows three groups of individuals: The Elementals, The Latens, and The [[Meaningful Name|Outcasts]]. Because each group has [[Four Is Death|four]] members (with the promise of a fourth group to come), it obviously has [[Loads and Loads of Characters]], each with their own distinctive personality and rich backstories.
As of 2012, the series and website was under revision, as the author was looking to fix what he feels like was the cause of the mistake which gave him Writer's Block: not having the world well-thought-out enough. He fully intends to resume the comic once he has all the details of the world figured out and set in stone. Brian hoped to have finished his changes by July 2012, but does not wish to be held to that date. The last comment on the site was in 2016, where he hoped to come back to this strip some day.
