• Values Dissonance: An early victim of the Political Correctness Gone Mad of the nineties. Many critics were quick on the trigger to call it misogynistic, when retrospectives just tend to point out how everybody is kind of vile, not just the women, but our anti-heroes are less so.
• Vindicated by History: Retrospectives on the movie decades late deem it to be pretty good compared with contemporary reviews, with the chemistry between Willis and Wayans and the action sequences being praised.
