  • Two issues that are never really clarified in-universe: 1-who writes The Monkees' songs? In "I've Got a Little Song Here" a song that in real life was written by Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart ("Gonna Buy Me a Dog") is presented as being written by Mike. While it's logical to assume that the songs that Mike sings lead vocals on are supposed to be his compostions, Davy and Micky sing this song. So, does that mean that Mike writes all their songs? 2-how did they get together? We know how they did in real life, but there's never an in-universe origin story.
