Fortunately, their victim survived the attack and at least one of the attackers was found to be incompetent to stand trial (and possibly mentally ill), which seems to have gone a long way towards preventing an [[New Media Are Evil|overreaction]] by self-appointed [[Moral Guardians]] against the Mythos.
