Time Paradox Ghostwriter: Difference between revisions

Teppei Sasaki is an aspiring [[mangaka]] who is trying to get his manga published in the [[Shonen Jump|Weekly Shonen Jump]]. The problem is how his editor, Kisuke, keeps on rejecting his one-shots. After getting a second chance, the editor states his storyboard to be lacking, thus crushing his dream of having his story in Shonen Jump. He walks onto the street in melancholy and frustration as rain starts to pour, leaving Teppei low and wet until he collapses in despair when he reaches his apartment. After some retrospection, he almost declares quitting but gets interrupted by a lightning bolt striking his microwave. It causes it to melt the robot on top, which was a gift, and the fridge it is on that even melds into the floor. The melted machine dings, and when he opens it, he finds an issue of Shonen Jump inside but from the year 2030. He reads the debut of the new series called ''[[Story Within a Story|White Knight]]'' by Itsuki Aino. It was a fantastic first chapter that left a distinct sense of awe; only a masterpiece can create that he had to go outside. He then looks for the issue again but can't find it. Teppei takes it as some sort of fantasy then starts to draw a storyboard for the first chapter. After spending all night on making, he then arrives at Shueisha tired and ragged as he tries one more attempt to have his manga published through Kisuke. The editor rejects him again after a phone call, but Teppei doesn't give up. He breaks into the building as he rushes to the editing office. The mangaka tries to beg Kisuke to read his storyboard but ends up causing the editor to reject and state him as talentless while spilling the pages onto the floor. The editor in chief steps in as he hears the man out on why he would go to such extremes as Teppei responds with his struggles of becoming a professional mangaka. The editor in chief will read his one-shot, especially since he like his award winner from four years ago. After finishing reading it, he states that they can't run it in a special issue, but it will go straight into Shonen Jump to everyone's surprise. Everyone reads the chapter as they are all moved; even his editor looks in shock after reading it. Teppei faints onto the ground as his dream has finally come true. The debut of the one-shot and the reader survey place in first, which was quite the feat for a one-shot. After his success, he realizes that issue from the future wasn't a dream and that it will have repercussions, especially with the ''White Knight'''s original mangaka.
