In addition to the $2k check messaging failure (and that's with me describing it generously), there's now the dismissal of [https://news.yahoo.com/biden-dismisses-democratic-plan-wipe-032942138.html?soc_src=community&soc_trk=tw a Democratic plan to forgive $50k worth of student debt.] The reasoning? He [https://twitter.com/mstratford/status/1361887361395789824 "doesn't want to forgive debts of borrowers from elite schools"] - which is transparently absurd IMHO upon considering the idea for more than five minutes. He also claims that the money would be better spent on childhood education... which in America can already run on the expensive side, never mind the repeated pressures of getting into good (read: elite) colleges that aren't yet a generation or two old.
