** Guardian Elma requires using Butterfly Dagger Elma, a card notorious and banned for its many infinite loops.

** Anti Raigeki was an example of not working due to Raigeki being banned or limited to one copy per deck for two decades. With Raigeki totally unbanned it's ''still'' useless because its worded in a way that requires the opponent to use Raigeki ''and'' control at least one monster. Since Raigeki is used to setup for combos and almost always used ''before'' summoning monsters (so an opponent's monster effects can't prevent summoning), it remains unusable.

** Destiny Hero Departed can be special summoned to the opponent's field if it's in your graveyard, presumably so you can attack its low 1000 attack to inflict damage. Konami seems to have thought this effect was ''too'' good (even though, in reality, it would have been bad even without any of these restrictions) and gave it such overly broad restrictions it's impossible to get the card into your graveyard in the first place without knowing a specific rulings quirk on how discarding for cost works. Even with all those restrictions, it's ''still'' part of an infinite loop (not the useful instant win kind, but the lame kind that prevents the game from continuing).
