These days, [[Our Vampires Are Different|vampires]] tend to have a lot of sex appeal. It may be because [[Evil Is Sexy]], but [[Friendly Neighborhood Vampires|not all vampires are evil]], so maybe it's because they're [[All Girls Want Bad Boys|bad boys]] and/or [[The Vamp|sultry]] [[Femme Fatale]]s. The bloodsucking may just be a great source for [[Fetish Fuel]], something about a quick sting of pain followed by indescribable pleasure. Whatever the reason is, people find vampires arousing, and writers use that to [[Fan Service|please the fans]] and, sometimes, [[Author Appeal|themselves]].

[[Fridge Logic|The question]] of how vampires can be sexually active despite being clinically ''dead'' ([[Our Vampires Are Different|in most settings]]), and what it says about the people attracted to them anyway, tends to be [[Hand Wave|handwaved]] or played for [[Squick|squicky laughs]]. Other Undead (except possibly death knights, if they - like this sort of vampire - fall into the pale, looks-almost-alive variety) such as Zombies tend not to get this treatment because it involves [[Squick]], and it's rare in a [[Fur Against Fang]] scenario, or [[Vampire-Werewolf Love Triangle]], for [[Our Werewolves Are Different|Werewolves]] to get the same treatment, as having a [[Raven Hair, Ivory Skin|pale, nubile]], [[Of Corsets Sexy|corset-clad]] [[The Vamp|young lady]] [[Kiss of the Vampire|sip from your vein is sexy]], whilst werewolves tend to be associated more with the idea of being mauled to death and torn into tiny pieces and eaten by a [[Big Badass Wolf]] ([[Nightmare Fetishist|of course]], [[Fetish Fuel|some people]] [[Rule 34|quite like]] [[Furry Fandom|the monstrous werewolf image.]]).

* Seraphim and Sarasvasti from ''[[Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?]]''. Especially Sera - she just stepped on to the stage and was instantly ranked number 7.

* ''[[Vassalord]]'' lives and breathes this trope, being a [[Ho Yay]]-drenched manga about a pair of extremely sexy male vampires who spend a lot of their pagetime having [[Getting Crap Past the Radar|not-quite-sex-but-it-sure-does-look-it]] with each other.

* Vampires in ''[[Life Sucks]]'' aren't necessarily any better-looking than humans, but with the ability to [[Charm Person|cloud the minds of others]] comes the potential to force others to fall in love with them. The protagonist describes it as glorified date rape.

*** And the Countess isn't even a vampire proper - she's just pretending because her husband inherited vampirism with the title, well past the point where biting the missus was likely to happen.

** Lady Margalotta is described as attractive, but resembling "a woman of a certain age".

* ''[[Necroscope]]'' goes interesting directions with this trope. Its vampires have [[Voluntary Shapeshifting|impressive shapeshifting capabilities]], which, though [[Body Horror|unpleasant to look at]], can [[Exotic Equipment|greatly enhance sex]]. Then, [[Vagina Dentata|when it's]] [[Out with a Bang|time to]] [[Squick|feed]]...

* [[Vampire Hunter D]]. Full stop. [[Even the Guys Want Him]]. He pretty much has a lust aura. Other Nobles as well, to a lesser extent.

** The number of hot vampires continues to grow with the appearances of [[Cute Monster Girl|Jessica]], [[Friendly Neighborhood Vampire|Godrick]], [[Yandere|Lorena]], [[Stalker with a Crush|Franklin]], and [[Camp Gay|Talbot]].

** This is actually Lampshaded and Justified [[In-Universe]]. Vampire blood is prized for its healing powers and is often used as a recreational drug...with the side effect that it gives you vivid and intense sex dreams about the vampire it came from.

* Mick St. John of ''[[Moonlight]]''. See also Josef, Coraline, and Lola.

* Nick Knight and Janette du Charme of ''[[Forever Knight]]''.

** Klaus, Elijah...

* Any vampire character who turns up in [[Professional Wrestling]] will be either the standard freakish sort (more common) or this trope. The "sex god" archetype was played to the hilt by Gangrel and [[Edge]] (yes, ''that'' [[Character Development|Edge]]), who were hot blond studs who also just happened to be vampires.

 

 

* ''[[Vampire: The Masquerade]]'' has the Toreador, Anne Rice-style vampires who stick close to humanity (especially its artists). It helps that they have powers that make them the center of attention.

** ''[[Vampire: The Requiem]]'' features the Daeva, spiritual heirs to the Toreador who are often called "[[Horny Devils|Succubi]]" by other vampires for obvious reasons. They carry on the tradition of powers that can make everyone in the room fall in love with them, and the new weakness of having to indulge their Vices at every opportunity or take a hit to their will (most often [[Lust]] or [[Villainous Glutton|Gluttony]], but a Daeva with Wrath as their Vice is...something to run away from).

*** The Daeva may be ''actual'' sex gods. Their splat has stories of them being descended from Inanna/Ishtar, a sex goddess of conflict, so, at the very least, they're children of a sex goddess.

* The Lahmia bloodline of vampires in ''[[Warhammer Fantasy Battle]]'' consists entirely of gorgeous [[Femme Fatale]]s. This stands them in marked contrast to the Necrarch and Strigoi bloodlines, who appear to be withered corpses and feral corpse-men, respectively. The Von Carstein and Blood Dragon lineages can go either way.

** It would be more accurate to say that the Blood Dragons go either way, as while the Von Carsteins don't quite have the same reputation as the Lahmians, they are still intensely charismatic aristocrats and more or less unanimously attractive. While the Blood Dragons still consist of a high proportion of aristocrats, and some of them act like they're in a courtly romance novel, the majority live in the woods or other out of the way places, training constantly and murdering anyone that they think might give a good fight, which is hardly conducive to attracting women.

** They are typically described in the novels as much more attractive than their miniatures, all of whom have their [[Game Face]] on.

 

* Nitara from ''[[Mortal Kombat]]'' ''Deadly Alliance''.

* Lampshaded in ''Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines''. When you try to seduce the guy selling blood in the hospital, he says, "I don't do dead chicks."

* Dracula in the ''[[Castlevania]]'' series has tons of sex appeal, whether he's drawn in his mid 20s or early 40s. [[The Vamp|Carmilla]] says as much in ''Judgment'', and she's the [[Lesbian Vampire]] [[Trope Codifier]]!
