YMMV tropes applying to the band:
- Big Lipped Alligator Moment: The rather dark and synthesized song "4 Ever 2 Gether" could be seen as this, as The Lexicon of Love up until that track has been a symphonic disco-tinged New Wave Concept Album, and the Mood Whiplash is quickly abandoned with the final track, "Look of Love (Part 4)".
- Crowning Moment of Awesome: The introduction to "Show Me", the opening track of The Lexicon of Love. If the band's entrance after the orchestral overture doesn't make you jump in your seat, check your pulse.
- Ear Worm: "Poison Arrow", "Be Near Me", "Look of Love", "When Smokey Sings"...
