The titular heroine, Erma Felna, is an officer from the EDF (Extraplanetary Defense Force, a extraplanetary version of [[The Federation]]), and she begins her military career during a military invasion of the ILR (Independent Lepine Republic, another [[The Federation|federation]] populated by rabbits who are bend to [[Omnicidal Maniac|conquer the known space, but not without killing anyone who is not a rabbit.]]) to a planet named Derzon.
