* [[Comic Book Time]]: While "A Friend In Darkness" took over four years to write, the events of the story occurred within a month.

* [[Cool Car]]: Kim and her car, which had the tech copied by Team Probable and used to make Grimm’s motorbike.

* [[Distaff Counterpart]]/[[Spear Counterpart]]: The members of Team Probable are the opposite genders from their Team Possible counterparts. (Exception: [[Team Pet|Team Pets]] Rueful and Rufus are both "he".)

** The pattern carries over to many of the secondary characters in Team Probable's hometown of Riddleton.

* [[May Contain Evil]]: Gill shows up with a scheme to create an army of mutants like himself by [[Squick|selling a new brand of soda containing doses of his slime]].

* [[Mirror Morality Machine]]: The Attitudinator from the series is used by Grimm to turn Ron into [[Super-Powered Evil Side|Zorpox]] again. Zorpox then kicks off an [[Evil Plan]] by building a "Mega Synaptic Transducer" that generates chaos by reversing people's good and evil natures ''worldwide''.

* [[Noble Demon]]: Grimm has his moments, particularly when he {{spoiler|covertly manipulates Kim and Ron into getting back together after their breakup. Despite his [[I Was Just Passing Through|excuses]], it's pretty clear that he's doing it for Rhonda, who had told him that she wouldn't have made it through her [[Spirit World]] ordeal without Ron's help.}}

* [[No Good Deed Goes Unpunished]]: The two worst situations Grimm gets himself into resulted from acting on his better impulses. {{spoiler|In "Back to Kwitcherbeliakin", he helps Maze carry out a ritual out of genuine interest and curiosity about Maze's culture; it turns out that Maze intended to sacrifice him. In "A Friend in Darkness", he gets petrified after taking a shot meant for Kim.}}

* [[Not So Different]]: Grimm incessantly attacks Kim's claim to moral superiority, [[Your Approval Fills Me with Shame|commenting approvingly]] on some of her more questionable actions, responding to her criticisms of ''his'' actions by reminding her of similar things she's done, and provoking her into attacking him for no reason other than to vent her anger.

* [[Official Couple]]: Much of the personal drama (see the [[Played for Drama]] entry) is derived from taking a closer look at some events in [[Canon|the series]] and considering the implications for the Kim/Ron relationship.

* [[Omnidisciplinary Scientist]]: Wade and Jade. Justified (somewhat) with them both being supergeniuses that have studied in various disciplines.

* [[Villain Protagonist]]: Team Probable, especially in "Back to Kwitcherbeliakin" and also in "A Friend in Darkness".

* [[Villain with Good Publicity]]: Team Probable. They even have [[Amoral Attorney|a lawyer]] on retainer to deal with anyone tarnishing their ‘good’ names.

* [[Villains Never Lie]]: {{spoiler|Grimm shows Kim a glass bulb that allegedly contains Ron's extracted good side and then destroys it, after which he lays out the [[Sadistic Choice]] of letting Ron remain Zorpox forever or stealing somebody else's good side in order to restore him. It never occurs to her to doubt Grimm's word until he reveals the ''real'' vessel containing Ron's good side, thereby keeping Kim occupied with restoring Ron to normal while [[Villain Exit Stage Left|Team Probable leaves the scene]].}}

* [[Vision Quest]]: Kim goes to Yamanouchi and communes with the Mystical Monkey to retrieve Ron (and Rhonda) from the [[Spirit World]]. {{spoiler|Along the way, she is confronted with [[Fighting Down Memory Lane|memories]] of times she'd treated Ron poorly, leading to a final [[Battle in the Center of the Mind|confrontation]] with "Ron's worst enemy"...
