Incident At Raleigh Tavern by Commander Cody CC - 2224. (AU where the British won the American Revolution)

  • Synopsis: This is a Felicity fanfic that takes place one year after the American War for Independence. However, in this particular fanfic, the British have won the war, which concluded at the Battle of Yorktown (1781 A.D.). Most of the Patriots are sore about losing the war, but some learn to cope with circumstances. Felicity and her family and friends are struggling to cope with the not-so-favorable changes of living in the Colonies, which are now under British rule again. Ben, given that he fought on the Patriot side, gets sensitive whenever someone insults the cause he fought for, or the side he fought with during the conflict between the American Colonies and the British Empire. This fanfic is directly based from the beginning of one of the Firefly series episodes titled The Train Job.

Ben has done his share of fighting since he joined Col. Henry Lee's Fifth Regiment to perform his country's duties. But can he win a deadly match against a ruthlessly determined rival trying and vying for Felicity's affections, despite all odds? The plot ideas for this fanfic were borrowed from the Firefly series episode Shindig.

  • Synopsis: Kit is 21, working for the NY Times, has her own house, and trying to forget that there was ever a war, which isn't helped by the fact that she's on the war beat and in war-torn London. But what happens when Will re-enters her life? Kit/Will
  • Commments: A very well-written exploration into a relationship between Kit Kittredge and Will Shepherd, one of the few May–December Romance pairings in the American Girls fandom in the midst of the aftermath of the WWII, that has been given some much-deserved love in this wonderful story, as it is a rather ignored pairing since most people ship Lissie/Ben.
