- The ship has just lost 40% of her fighter pilots and the Captain is sending the Icebreakers away?
- Only three of them, one of whom had been set for court-martial even before killing one of her squadmates, and another of whom had committed insubordination. Loser's dead and Bubblegum has left the ship with Toat.. The disbanding order was being put in place even prior to the battle.
- Why would Earth waste someone who likely carries plague-resistant genes (Whiskey claims her father didn't die) as a Cannon Fodder fighter pilot?
- Because a vaccine had already been created years ago.
