Basic Trope: Repeated Words that have great significance over the course of the story.

  • Straight: The words "Iris" appear over the course of Denner Hoffman's journey.
  • Exaggerated: The word "Iris" is everywhere Denner goes.
  • Justified: "Iris" is a code word for a secret organisation with an interest in Denner's mission.
  • Inverted: ???
  • Subverted: The word has absolutely no importance whatsoever.
  • Double Subverted: Then it turns out there is a dark, subliminal meaning behind them.
  • Parodied: Denner starts to become paranoid every time he encounters the word "Iris".
  • Averted: The word's prevalence is just a coincidence.
  • Exploited: Denner's enemies use the word as a Red Herring to distract him from their activities.
