- The Tears of Joy variety: Having discovered his wife is alive, Freeze sets out to make an organ transplant to save her from her illness. In the end, after Freeze is thought to be dead, a news report tells us that Nora is not only alive and well, but it was Freeze's own research that was credited with saving her life. As Freeze, watching from a window, cries in joy, so do we.
- It's even more tearjerking when you remember that the accident that changed him also froze him emotionally, that he show any emotion outwardly.
- And a Fridge Logic tear-jerker - because of his crimes and his current condition, he can never be with her again. And he knows it, which explains why he quietly leaves the scene with his polar bears.
