    • Many of the people afflicted by the Black Gas aren't quite berserk. Some can carry on a conversation. Others aren't in full control of their own actions, but can beg to be put out of their misery.

    • Every single "zombie" Tyler is forced to kill is somebody he's known his entire life. Imagine going throughout your small hometown and being forced to shoot everyone you see in the head.
  • Shocking Swerve: After five issues, in Black Gas 2 Issue #2, Soo finally breaks down after all the horror she's seen. Officer Rader then shoots her in the back of the head to spare her the pain of dealing with things instead of trying to talk her back into sanity.
