Fridge Brilliance

  • In Chapter 58 the heroes are introduced to the Chambre de Fantasma, Fantina's family estate. the narration notes that it "flew in the face of common sense, architectural integrity, and several laws of physics" in addition to being so 'mind boggling' that they can't comprehend it. Mirami, one of the daughters, says that this is their most "practical" home but doesn't elaborate. Later Fatina off-handly tells her not to let their guests get lost and die of thirst "like zat one zief who snuck in a while back did." The family estate is their main home and holds their most valuable treasures; its reality bending confusion is practicable because only THEY know their way around.
