Comedian is a 2002 movie made by (and starring) Jerry Seinfeld about the world of American stand up comedy.

It follows two comedians: Jerry Seinfeld, after he gave up his hugely successful sitcom and retired all(!) his material, starting from scratch; and Orny Adams, a young comedian trying to break big for the first time. Their roads cross once, but other than that the two stories are mostly separated. Between the two of them, they cover most of the things that a stand up comic in America can run across: clubs, festivals, and late night TV.

The movie includes cameos by many famous comedians (Ray Romano, Chris Rock, Jay Leno), talking to Jerry Seinfeld as well as George Shapiro, who takes Orny Adams under his wing.
