Countdown to Final Crisis/Fridge

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Fridge Brilliance: While very, very awesome, the explosive nature Queen's The Show Must Go On had on Apokalypse was pretty silly. Cue Grant Morrison's revelation that The Fourth World, Apokalypse, New Genesis, and all, exist on a higher plane of being as platonic ideals, and what we see is just our brains' way of interpreting things. It wasn't the song itself that was playing and destroying Apokalypse, it was the ideas and emotions that the song represents that destroyed Apokalypse, and that song is simply the easiest way for the readers/writers brains to interpret that particular set of ideals destroying something.
