The girls' concerns about finding Melanie's lifeless body were alleviated when the medium explains how she wasn't able to talk to her because the abilities only work if the person is already passed on. The good news was that since Melanie wasn't present in the afterlife, she had to be still alive,. {{spoiler|She which sheeventually is found, but traumatized afterfrom being kept as a prisoner.}}. The bad news, is that Officer Shaw also meets with the same medium to find out about the other disappearances, {{spoiler| which ends with others being found dead.}}.
