He's bottling all his feelings in regards to the shooting, and accidentally shooting Rick. Then, out of the blue Sean's parents come into the spotlight and give an interview to a reporter, and Sean is not amused. He's mad as Hell and makes Jay drive him, Ellie and Emma to Wasega Beach, his old home. Sean angrily confronts his parents about the interview and how they've abandoned him. While at Wasega beach, they meet Tyler, the guy Sean deafened in one ear and got sent away from. From there, Sean's past is exposed -- that he wasn't a tough guy and was bullied by Tyler until Sean sucker punched him in the ear. Sean is distraught and reveals his guilt about killing Rick to Ellie and flees on the lake on a jet ski and angrily drives around until he falls off and nearly drowns until Tyler saves him. Sean then realizes that he's been running away from all his problems and apologizes to Emma. He goes back to his parents and apologizes and his guilt from accidentally killing Rick comes pouring out. He then realizes he has to stay in Wasega to deal and face his problems head on -- leaving Ellie behind. |
