Fridge Brilliance

• At first, it seems a bit strange that every single ZOFA Soldier depicted in the series is visibly female, since that would indicate that only women are infected with ZOFA Cells; halving your potential recruits doesn't seem conducive to building up an army. But then you realize that, even though they all look female, some of them may actually have been human males before they were transformed. After all, females transformed into ZOFA Soldiers become hermaphroditic. Who's to say that men transformed by ZOFA Cells don't also become hermaphroditic? Granted, even when hermaphroditic and hairless, men still look distinct from women, so they would have to undergo a lot more physical changes than women to look they way they do.
