Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

Blonde (begging): "I saved your life!"
White (pointing a gun at Blonde): "Everybody makes mistakes."

  • Fridge Brilliance: White and Brown were the only two of the group who were specifically asked to apply. White and Brown are also the main instigators of conflict, meaning they were chosen and invited specifically to cause tension which would give the applicants a chance to prove themselves.
  • Large Ham: The Invigilator during the first scene.
  • Moral Event Horizon: many characters cross this - or consider other characters to have crossed it - at different points.
    • Black is the first, in a seemingly professional environment, to become violent, knocking White out, tying him to a chair, and gagging him.
      • It's understandable in this case, however: he was stopping the openly manipulative and untrustworthy White from doing any more harm to the group.
    • Brown steals White's medicine, which White needs in order to live.
      • Though Black was perfectly willing to withhold the medicine, just to see if White was faking, Brown knocked the pill down the drain when White began going into genuine convulsions.
    • Brown threatens Dark with torture, even tying her up and slicing her thigh open at one point.
    • White takes the guard's gun and threatens to shoot the remaining candidates if they don't leave and forfeit.
      • White then actually shoots Black when he refuses to comply.
        • The above is also one of the few instances of a Moral Event Horizon having a positive effect: it cures Black of the virus.
