Basic Trope: The difference between when a work is made and when it is set will be exactly decades, centuries or millennia.

Straight: The work is made in 2007. It is set in 2077.
Exaggerated: The work is made in 2007. It is set in 10002007.
Justified: A time machine is invented in 2007, but can't travel to a specific time or year, instead travelling precisely decades.
Inverted: The work is made in 2007, and set in 1987.
Subverted: The work is made in 2007, but set in 7 BCE.
Double Subverted: The work is made in 2007, set in 7 BCE for the first few minutes, and set in 7 CE for the rest.
Parodied: The work, made in 2007, is set in 2076... Until the Ministry of Conveniently Placed Dates puts the protagonists' mission in hold for a year.
Deconstructed: In the 2077 setting people mock how inaccurate people's idea of change-by-decades was back in 2007.

Zig Zagged: The work constantly switches between decades after it was made and decades-and-a-quarter after it was made.
Averted: The work is made in 2007, and set in 2076.
Enforced: The writer feels it is easier to do the maths for the series this way.
