'''''Fallout 76''''' is a 2018 [[Action RPG|action role-playing]] video game by [[Bethesda|Bethesda Game Studios]], released as part of their ''[[Fallout]]'' series.  Set in the year 2102, it is a prequel to all the previous ''Fallout'' games.  In it, the player takes the role of a resident of Vault 76 tasked by the vault overseer to venture out into the nuclear wasteland of Appalachia to re-colonize it while investigating a mysterious plaque.  It is the first online and multiplayer ''Fallout'' game, and lacks a single-player campaign.  

Upon its release it was plagued with a variety of technical problems, and was criticized for a number of poor design decisions, including a complete lack of human [[Non-Player Character]]s.

* [[Mutants]]: There are plenty of mutants to fight in the wasteland such as the aptly named supermutants which are humans that got affected by Forced Evolutionary Virus.
* [[Wide Open Sandbox]]: There are lots of things to do in the wasteland other than the main quest such as side quests, fighting enemies in general or just exploring.
