Fat Bastard: Difference between revisions

Line 57:
* Both Roark brothers in the comic version of Sin City are overweight and look unhygenic. Herr Wallenquist also has this look. They are all extremely evil crimebosses.
** A lesser example would be Agammemnon, the sleazy porn-obsessed boss of Dwight and later, Wallace. He was an art dealer that was overweight, ugly, and smelled bad. He didn't pay well, either.
* Subverted with Sam from Spawn. While he basically caters to every single characteristic of the trope, he's as good a guy as they come who always strives to right wrongs. The bastard tendencies tend to be directed towards bad guys.
* For a while, Lex Luthor from Superman was drawn as one of these, looking quite a bit like a less-heavy Kingpin. Makes quite a bit of sense, as it really plays off of his envy for Superman by making him overweight while Supes is of course built like a god.
* Dick Tracy villain Oodles; one strip where he weighed himself had him at 465 lbs (without his guns) and happy because that meant he lost weight!
* In one Punisher story, Medallion was a lot like Lugman, only with far less humor involved. Believing himself to be a "criminal mastermind", he was more like a crazy and paranoid megalomaniac, possibly suffering from ADD and a very bad diet. Even Frank considered him a big joke. Like most foes of the Punisher, he didn't survive past the arc he was introduced.
* Spawn has a few Fat Bastard enemies:
** Violator, whose usual human form is a short, fat, ugly clown. While he is a shapeshifter who can make himself look like any type of human, he prefers the clown as a way to mock humans, whom he considers to be disgusting and insignificant creatures.
** Billy Kincaid, child-murderer and pedophile; he was a Fat Bastard when he was alive, and still is one as a demon.
** Subverted with Sam, from Spawnhowever. While he basically caters to every single characteristic of the trope, he's as good a guy as they come who always strives to right wrongs. The bastard tendencies tend to be directed towards bad guys.
