An Interquel that takes place between the original Final Fantasy IV and Final Fantasy IV the After Years. It takes place a year after the events of the original. It begins with a party held at Damcyan celebrating it being rebuilt.

The game itself isn't very long. It is only a little longer than the average tale in The After Years. It is one of three games included in Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection.

This game provides examples of:

  • Big Bad -- A Maenad from The After Years disguised as Rydia.
  • Deus Ex Machina -- Near the end of the game when going through The Tower of Babil you are attacked by three robot guards. They unite and proceed to knock your party into critical health. Edge appears and stuns the robot and weakens it. Lampshaded by the fact the robot is the name of the trope.
