Subjectively, Game Dogs provides examples of:
- Alas, Poor Scrappy: For the show's negative/mixed reactions, people were a bit saddened by Roger & Bethany's deaths, although, they were played for laughs, which was considered Dude, Not Funny.
- Dude, Not Funny: Roger's suicide being played for laughs, offended a lot of people on the Escapist Forums.
- Ensemble Darkhorse: Even some people who did not respond well to anyone else in the series enjoyed Bob and Mr. Yee.
- A Day in the Limelight: The episode Knives-R-Us has been one of the more positively received episodes of the series.
- Moral Event Horizon: God Dammit Bob!
- The Scrappy: Chet is considered one of the worst characters on the show.
