- Discussion of Gamergate on TV Tropes was stifled and banned right from the start.[1] They've since been on GG's boycott list.
- The treatment of GG on sites like Rational Wiki and The Other Wiki has not only spurred massive Flame Wars, but has brought into question just how impartial, fair and ethical such sites are in practice.
- The Flame War on The Other Wiki article got so bad that Jimmy Wales got involved. It also led to the banning of Ryulong, a notorious moderator.[2]
