Ghostbusters/Nightmare Fuel

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • When Winston and Ray have a heart to heart talk while on a drive at night during Winston's first day of work. What got to this troper was just how scary Winston's question was. And the realization that the reason they were busting was to prolong the end of the world.

Winston: Hey, Ray, do you believe in God?
Ray: Never met him.
Winston: Ya, well I do. And I love Jesus' style you know.
Ray: The entire roofcap is made of a magnesium-tungsten alloy...
Winston: What are you so involved with over there?
Ray: These are the blueprints for the structural ironwork at Dana Barret's apartment building and they are very very strange.
Winston: Hey, Ray. Do you remember the Bible reading about the last days, when the dead would rise from the grave.
Ray: I remember Revelations 7:12. "And I looked, and he opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake. And the sun became as black as sack cloth, and the moon became as blood."
Winston: And the seas boiled and the skies fell.
Winston and Ray: Judgment day.
Ray: Every religion has its own myth about the end of the world.
Winston: Myth? Ray, has it ever occurred to you that the reason we've been so busy is because the dead have been rising from the grave.
