  • Critical Dissonance: The film made back over three times its budget, but currently holds only a 15% rating at Rotten Tomatoes.
  • Deus Ex Machina: The ending, and probably a main reason for the critical dissonance described above. The fact your husband is a serial killer doesn't absolve anybody of killing him in cold-blood. Of course, our protagonist didn't do it, but she can't prove she was possessed by a ghost either. It is certainly cathartic to see our heroine walking free to live the rest of her life, but it isn't remotely logical.
