• Ho Yay: starts off as Foe Yay, but by the middle of the book people are making mocking comments on how they "should get engaged". And Fletcher goes on a lot about how charismatic and magnetic and generally attractive Red is.
• Magnificent Bastard: April Devereux gets this in the live action tv series, despite being, at most, 15. While Half Moon can figure out what she's done all the time, she's never close enough to the action to be convicted, and in the rare case when she is, she's managed to make it so that no one is willing to turn her in. Plus, after Fletcher helps her win back her posse, she asks him to dance and, in a classy move, informs him she's going to get him excluded or discredited the next term.
