- Executive Meddling - In spades during his time with Curb. Namely, three of his albums were delayed or refused released because they weren't commercial enough for Curb. He's not alone either: nearly everyone who's been signed to Curb in the past 20 years has had to jump through hoops to get an album out.
- He Also Did - If you didn't know that Hillbilly Joker, 3 Bar Ranch Cattle Callin and Attention Deficit Domination were metal albums before you bought them, you might be a little pissed off if you're a Country Music fan and were expecting more of the "drink myself to death" songs Hank III played on Straight To Hell, Rebel Within and Lovesick, Broke and Driftin.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes - In response to the Hillbilly Joker release, Hank said: "Don’t buy it, but get it some other way and burn the hell out of it and give it to everyone".
