* [[Crazy Awesome]]: [[Captain Obvious|Deadpool]], but special mention has to be made for trying to use his [[Kryptonite Factor|yellow text boxes]] against [[Green Lantern]].

** Lars M. Dusseldorf is probably a truer version of this trope, as since their popularity became apparent Deadpool and Gobby have been pushed increasingly to the fore, whereas we can be assured that Lars is not going to take centre stage. But he is very, very awesome.

* [[Excuse Plot]]: Deadpool thinks the whole setup for the "Rorschach & Deadpool" Sitcom might be:

* [[Fridge Brilliance]]: In the ''Rorscach & Deadpool'' Buddy Cop parody, the pair are on the trail of a mysterious crime figure named Joe Palachi, who turns out to be {{spoiler|[[The Joker]], and more specifically the humorless 80's one from [[Frank Miller]]'s ''[[The Dark Knight Returns]]''}}. There are about three layers of brilliance to this, one of which Joe himself admitted to being the reason he picked it:

** Firstly, Palachi, whilst being a sort-of common Italian surname, is also a reference to the opera ''Pagliacci'', and the lead character of the same name (it is sometimes called ''Palachi's Opera''). That was a subtle clue as to Joe Palachi's true identity.

** And third, the joke is about {{spoiler|how the great clown Pagliacci is utterly depressed and miserable because he has come to view the planet as a [[Crapsack World]]}}, which perfectly reflects the fact that {{spoiler|[[The Joker]] pretending to be Joe Palachi is the most serious, unfunny Joker ever put to print}}:

** So the trailer for the 2011 DC Universe Online premiered recently and in it {{spoiler|a future Lex Luthor traveled back in time to warn the heroes that the world would be destroyed if they didn't stop him.}} Sound familiar? Hilariously enough, RandomGuy lampshaded this in a recent BlogTV chat:

* [[Shallow Parody]]: The movie trailer parodies sometimes fall into this, usually by copying the trailer and adding jokes based on which character replaced who.

* [[Squick]]: Deadpool apparently started a website dedicated to ''[[Golden Girls]]'' slash fan fiction.

* [[Tear Jerker]]: Watch the first video, which personifies Spider-Man as the best qualities of Marvel movies, in tandem with the short where Batman and the Avengers express no interest at all in Spider-Man's reboot.
