• High Octane Nightmare Fuel: Why are they called the Iron Jawed Angels? It's not because they had their mouths pried open with metal instruments and were force-fed raw eggs through a tube shoved down their throat. But after watching that scene, that's all you'll think of. (Well, that and the aforementioned bathtub scene.) Made even scarier by the fact that it's Truth in Television. And really, all of the prison scenes qualify.
• Romantic Plot Tumor: It's even worse once you find out that Ben Weissman is a fictional character who was invented purely for the romantic subplot.
