  • I seriously don't know why the hell I am supposed to root for Opal to fall in love with Devlen over Kade. EWWWWWWWWWW doesn't even begin to cover this situation.
    • Also, who in their right minds is going to let an ex-convict adopt children, married or not?
  • Why is Opal so stupid? She's supposed to be a fairly smart character, but she willfully ignores signs of trouble so often due to Idiot Ball that I lost all respect for her. Even after she's been trained by the best spy in the world, she acts like that!
  • Purity Sue / God Mode Sue: Yelena, more so as the series goes on. Beautiful and intelligent; Valek, who apparently 'never took interest in a woman before' falls for her; Cahil was interested in her; she's a powerful Soulfinder and also the only one in all of Sitia or Ixia; raped and abused when she was younger... the list goes on.
