Just Doing My Job is a Stock Phrase that means two very different things depending on context:

  • When the stock phrase is used to claim the speaker is not worthy of being praised for his actions, see Heroic Self-Deprecation.
  • When the stock phrase is used to claim the speaker should not be punished for his actions, see Just Following Orders.
