Kathryn Dawn Lang, OC (born November 2, 1961), known by her stage name k.d. lang, is a Canadian pop and country singer-songwriter.

Lang has won both Juno Awards and Grammy Awards for her musical performances; hits include "Constant Craving" and "Miss Chatelaine". She has collaborated with musicians such as Roy Orbison, Tony Bennett, Elton John, Anne Murray, Ann Wilson, and Jane Siberry.

k.d. lang came out as a lesbian in 1992, which didn't affect her career. She also came out as a vegetarian, which did affect her career; because of her "Meat Stinks" campaign in the 1990s, a sign stating "Home of k.d. lang" in Consort, Alberta (in the middle of ranching country) was burned to the ground. Her audience has since returned to her, though.
