Koreanosaurus is a South Korean dinosaur documentary. It follows the life of a Tarbosaurus, from childhood to old age.
Tropes used in Koreanosaurus include:
- Anachronism Stew: Subtle, but most egregiously, Microraptor. It never lived 80 million years ago!
- Covers Always Lie: Koreanosaurus never actually appears in the documentary. But hey, Science Marches On
- Giant Flyer: Haenamichnus
- Misplaced Wildlife: Justified, because China, Japan, and Korea were connected by land.
- Ptero-Soarer: The Haenamichnus has scaly skin and inaccurate wing folding. It's also shown as eating freshwater arthropods.
- Raptor Attack: The Microraptor is pretty accurate, but the Velociraptor is scaly, with a few feathers.
- Science Marches On: See Ptero-Soarer and Raptor Attack. Also, scaly Tarbosaurus
- Seldom-Seen Species: Being set in Korea, it has a couple obscure species. Haenamichnus? Pukyongosaurus? What kinds of shows have these?
- Somewhere a Paleontologist Is Crying: Pronated hands. See Science Marches On, Raptor Attack, and Ptero-Soarer for more.
- Stock Dinosaurs: Tarbosaurus, Velociraptor, Protoceratops, Microraptor, and Therizinosaurus
