Kininaru Futari (-きになるふたり, lit. The Curious Pair) is the second Kuttsukiboshi dojinshi written by the anime's creator Naoya Ishikawa. Kiiko and Aaya visit Kiiko's cousin Yuuko. The title is a reference to Yuuko and her friend Manami.

Tropes used in Kuttsukiboshi/Kininaru Futari include:

• Cliff Hanger: It ends with Manami asking Yuuko if they're friends.
• Do Not Do This Cool Thing: In-Universe example, Yuuko and Manami see Kiiko and Aaya making love. Afterwards, Aaya tells them they shouldn't imitate them because it was a private moment between friends. This causes Manami to ask Yuuko if they're friends.
