Love Goddess/Playing With

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

Basic Trope: A deity of love.

  • Straight: A person who is a (supernaturally or symbolically) divine manifestation of Love: Complete with lovely personality and sexy body.
  • Exaggerated: Mary Sue Classic
  • Justified: For the supernatural version, a fantasy setting with at least one pantheon. For the symbolic version, seen through the eyes of a character who is deeply in love with her.
  • Inverted: A goddess of hate, revulsion or indifference.
  • Subverted: The character doesn't feel a thing. She is someone else's ideal love, or simply unlovable.
    • The deity is not really associated with love, "love" is simply a method for her true manifestation -- giving birth.
  • Double Subverted: The character doesn't feel a thing. Nope. Nothing at all. So why do he bother to keep telling himself that he isn't interested.
  • Parodied: It's not that he's in denial, it's just that she outshines every single woman in existance... including herself.
  • Deconstructed: She have the title, the personality and the looks. But she also have the heartache of being everyone's Shallow Love Interest, as well of the paranoia that comes with being the favourite target of every stalker.
  • Reconstructed: but she dares to be herself anyway.
  • Zig Zagged: ???
  • Averted: Cute & nice, but still just an ordinary person.
  • Enforced: Hey, this show needs more fanservice. Have Aphrodite show up, her name is excuse enough in itself.
  • Lampshaded: ???
  • Invoked: ???
  • Defied: ???
  • Discussed: ???
  • Conversed: ???
  • Played For Laughs: Either in a romantic comedy way or in a Sexyness Equals Stupidity kind of way.
