despite that having been a popular pre-TV Tropes WMG. They were using the rumor of an affair to excuse their secret meetings, in which Marilyn provided John with intelligence that she had gathered from the men she really slept with, such as foreign dignitaries and entertainers as well as high-ranking members of organized crime.
- If that was true her whole life would be one huge Crowning Moment of Awesome.
