  • Mary Sue: Whoever put the trailer together didn't realize that it makes Veronica into a textbook Sue (what, with a dark and traumatic past, immense medical knowledge greater than that of the hospital's doctors, and especially being beloved by everyone despite a cold personality). Your Mileage May Vary on whether she really is one in the show.
  • National Stereotypes: The Flanagan Clan is very stereotypically American Irish: they all drink, they often get into fights, and all the children are cops, firemen, or nurses.
